I would like to buy a condo and rent it out since i am based overseas. If the condo is 1.2mil and i have never buy a property before. what is the breakdown and minimum cash in hand i should have to purchase?

Hi Alif, If you don't have any outstanding housing loan, you can take up to 80% loan from bank based on 60% total debt servicing ratio. 20% downpayment will be 5% cash and 15% CPF/ cash. Other costs will be legal fees, valuation fees, stamp duty for mortgage and buyer's stamp duty if you are a Singapore citizen. Additional buyer's stamp duty will be applicable if you are a SPR or foreigner. Why not let my panel of bankers to liaise with you via email so you can know what's your in principle approval (loan amount that you can obtain) then we can work things out from there?
