Good evening! Thanks for the prompt reply. If you have $170k cash and cpf oa funds, you should be able to afford a $608k Property. This is taking 20% downpayment and estimated 8% stamp duties into consideration. As for your in principle approval, my banker will contact you and advise you on it so you can gauge how much loan you can obtain. But do take note max loan tenure is 30 years or up to retirement age of 65 thus you will be able to loan around 26 years and you are able to finance the monthly mortgage repayment by cpf oa funds. Last of all, you have to form a family nucleus with a SC or SPR to purchase a resale hdb. You cant purchase it as a single spr. Hope my explanations help.
