I sublet my unit out to 7 PRCs with the agreement that another 2 would join them in the near future. When I went to check on my apartment yesterday(13/11/13), the whole house had partitions installed in the living room and balcony, which made it look like a workers quarters, there was damage to the tiling and there were at least 20 people in the unit. My agent told me to just let it go and discuss with her tomorrow. However I feel that this is a rather casual approach to a very serious situation. What do I do? Please help

Dear landlord, I have encountered this issue before and had assisted my landlord to evict the tenants from the property within 24hours. Thankfully, the landlord was understanding enough to know that situation was not within my control for the tenants to violate the agreement and I managed to secure another group of tenants successfully within 2 weeks after clearing up the mess the last tenants left behind. You need to tackle the problem head on instead of waiting as the authorities will also not wait to issue the landlord the penalty for violations of the regulations.
