I solely own my HDB flat but my relatives have been occupying it rent free for years. They are not listed as occupants of the HDB unit. Technically they are illegal occupiers. A friend of mine wants to view the unit with the prospect of first leasing and then purchasing through agent. My relatives are making it difficult for me by not allowing viewing and telling my friend that they won't move out at all. There is no tenancy agreement between my relatives and me as there is no rent paid. Am I allowed to go ahead arrange to lease the property and give my relatives the notice to move? Thank you.
