I rented a room @ Yishun & moved in 2 months ago. Landlord and I have signed 1 year contract. Now today she came and told me she have potentian tenant to come and view the house and my room as she intend to rent out the whole house. I just want to know can it be this way cause i have signed contract with her and I only stay for 2 months only. I will have to move out if she rent the whole house. Guru please help!

Hi Vicel, if your room rental agreement is of a standard one, you will have good ground to negotiate and asking for compensation too.

Good morning Vicel,

It would be good to check the content of your TA and consult your agent prior further action. If everything are in place, your landlord does not have the legal right to proceed.
