I purchased an uncompleted property earlier this year, and would like to know if a developer is allowed to change the Date of Vacant Possession for a BUC. I just received through my lawyers a form requesting my agreement to the revision of the date of vacant possession from 2016 to 2017 due to "typographical error". Correspondingly, my consent is also being sought to push back the Latest Date of Notice to Complete sale and purchase from 2019 to 2020. I would like to know if this is something I should agree to.

Hi John This thing about TOP should be spelled out in your Purchase docs and is kept also with your lawyer. Consult your lawyer about probable compensation. Its going to be delayed anyway whether you agree to or not. Cheers! Gary Chang 81883186  Read More
