I paid the rental deposit of $3500 to the landlord agent and I am suppose to take the keys and move in to stay on Dec 24th 2011 but the landlord could not hand over the keys as he is overseas. I therefore told the landlord
agent that I does not want to rent the place anymore and I wants my deposit back because the landlord didn't fulfill his agreement of handing the keys over and let us move in. My question is does the landlord have the right to forfeit my deposit.
