Hi,

If its from a condo to resale HDB, you need not wait out 30 months but will need to sell away your condo within 6 months after hdb key collection.

If its for BTO collection, you have to wait out a 30month period after selling condo before you can apply. Thanks and may I understand your requirements further so as to value-add better to your housing plans? Hope to have the opportunity to work with you.

Dear downgrader,

The 30 months window is applicable only if you wish to purchase a unit directly from HDB. You are free to purchase from the resale market and as what Thomas and Ivan has pointed out, should you decide to make a resale purchase first, you will have a period of 6 months to liquidate your private residential unit. The financial limitations apply if there is still outstanding loan for your current private residential property therefore it is advisable to plan out on your cashflow first before embarking on the downgrading process to understand better what needs to be done first to be comfortable financially.

You are free to downgrade to a resale unit without any hassle.

As long as you are buying resale HDB unit with bank loan, you do not need to observe the 30 months. You are also given 6 months to sell off your private property should you opt to purchase the resale HDB unit first.

Good afternoon HDB buyer,

If you are not going for BTO (new HDB) or obtaining HDB loan, you dont have to observe 30 months waiting period.

You just have to dispose off your private property within 6 months after purchase a resale HDB with a bank loan.
