Clearing the loan for the existing property will no doubt better position both of you for the next loan, but will be subjected to even higher ABSD for subsequent purchases which I feel make no sense to be paying the this amount. If you have future plans to make for further investments, perhaps there could be a better way out? You may wish to explore with a banker in this instance to find out is there a better way out to manage this.
