Hi, when handing over the unit, was it stated how many cards there are? If they stated only 1, then it might be a little difficult.

It's important to ensure that you have all the necessary gate access cards for your resale condo to avoid any inconvenience. Since the MCST has confirmed that there should be a total of 5 cards for your unit type, it might be beneficial to discuss this matter with your solicitor.

One possible approach could be to have your solicitor negotiate with the previous owner regarding the missing 4 gate access cards. You can explore the possibility of the previous owner covering the cost of the replacement cards as part of the handover process.

Additionally, you may also want to consider reaching out to the previous owner directly to address this issue amicably. Clear communication and cooperation between both parties could lead to a mutually agreeable solution. Perhaps the cards are lost in the process.

Ultimately, ensuring that you have all the necessary gate access cards is essential for your convenience and security in your new home.

If MCST has record of 5 cards, they are likely able to know the serial number of the 5 cards and deactivate those that are "missing". Don't think it is worth the effort to chase after the ex owner for these cards. Perhaps purchasing the additional access cards will be a faster and more direct option.

It is not the worth the trouble and effort to get the rest of the remaining cards back. You could just approach the management office to have the rest of the cards cancelled out and to apply for new one.
