I intend to rent a 3 bedroom condo, keep the master bedroom for my own use & sub-let out 2 common bedroom. What is the procedure for sub letting

1) how should this clause be reflected in the TA under sub letting ( any standard sub letting clause)

2) do I have to sign a separate room rental agreement with my sub tenant

3) does the sub tenant have to pay stamp duty or is covered under the main TA

4) any agent able to help to look for sub tenant for the 2 common rooms & what is the agent fee

Hi Peter,

First of all, you'll have to rent a unit where owner is agreeable for you to sublet the rooms out. I have seen most owners who do not allow the subletting of rooms therefore do check before you commit to any units, otherwise you may have your deposit forfeited.
