I inquired regarding an apartment for rent at 173 Chin Swee road, Chinatown, 169878. Currently the owner is in Liverool, UK. She told me she will use Rushington Properties Limited escrow account involves three parties: she as owner, me as a potential tenant and Rushington Properties Limited as a responsible third party authorized to proper conduct of the transaction. Through this the keys of her apartment and the contract will be sent to my address upon receiving my rent and rental guarantee by money transfer. How will I know if this kind of transaction is safe and trustworthy?

Hi Ms Kathy,

It will be inappropriate for us to comment if it is trustworthy or safe or not since we have no control over this 3rd party authorised to conduct this rental. My suggestion is that should you feel uncomfortable about such arrangement, do not proceed any further with the rental arrangement is nothing has been signed. My advise to all my clients have always been to only proceed if they are comfortable. Do let me know if you need further advise. Thanks.
