I have two months deposit with my house owner(S$4.2k). When should I get back the amount if I like to end the contract? Should I compensate with my two months stay before ending the contract? Should I move out first and then ask from them the two months deposit?

Afternoon Mabel,

With your statement, I would assume you had a 2 year TA with the landlord. Security deposit should only be collected, on the last day of your TA. If there's any damages to the property or appliances, the landlord have the right to deduct from the security deposit, being cost for the repair or replacement.
