Asked by
I have signed the Letter of Intent to rent for 2yrs and gave a good faith deposit. But when the TA arrives, i requested for a diplomatic clause. But somehow the landlord refuse to put in and after talking, he only agrees for hs diplomatic clause to exercise only on the 18mths.

Somehow, i can't agree on that clause reason due to i may be transferred after 12mths which is unlikely but there are chances due to my nature of work.

I refuse to sign the TA but the landlord refuse to return me the money. Am i liable for any legal case and can i get my money back?

Thanks for answer.

Hi

The Letter of Intent is subjected to contract. Meaning that, if both parties (landlord and the tenant) is not agreeable to any of the clauses stated in the contract / Tenancy Agreement(other than request / items stated in the letter of Intent), the deal is off.

The landlord must return the goodfaith deposit. Please check with your agent on this.

Hope the infomation helps.

Kind Regards

Kenneth
