I have bought a private property before i got married. This unit is rented out. However, now that i’m getting married and I am moving in with my husband, my name will be a occupier in his HDB that he had purchased with his parents. In this case, if one day I would to sell my current property and buy a new one based on my own salary, would this property be a second property? Or it will be my first since I am only a occupier in my husband HDB. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi,

As of current regulations, as you are considered only an occupier in the HDB, it will not be considered as one property count. Hence if you sell your private property, the next property you purchase will be considered your first property purchase.
