Hi,

May I know what are you referring to as 2nd hand BTO? If its hdb that just turned 5 years old and reach their MOP and become eligible to sell, yes you are eligible to purchase with your spouse or children as its considered resale hdb. Yes the landed property needs to be sold within 6 months after the purchase completion date.

Hi, are you referring to a BTO that just reached 5 years of age? If that is the case, you could purchase it first before selling the landed property. Or sell the landed property and to purchase the HDB at the same time with no waiting period. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

For those who have sold their private homes, they will be required to wait for a period of 30 months before they can purchased a HDB flat directly from HDB, regardless whether BTO or SBF. They are also not allowed to purchase a brand new Executive Condominium.

As for resale units, there is no such restrictions.

BTO is shorthand for Built-to-Order. It's direct first-hand HDB flats from HDB. There is no second hand BTO.

If you're referring to resale HDB flat direct from the open market, then yes, you're eligible to purchase one, even if you have not sold your landed property.

There is no waiting period, but you will be required to sell off all your private properties latest within 6 months upon the purchase of the HDB flat.

There is no waiting period to buy a resale flat after you sold off your landed property. You may also purchase the resale flat first before selling your landed property although it is not always recommended to do that.

The important issue is to time the sale and purchase so that you are able to transit smoothly and seamlessly from your current property to the new one.
