Good morning Sir/ Mdm,

I am afraid to inform you that if you are considering to apply for a new EC, you need to dispose off your condo first and observe a waiting period of 30 months before you are eligible to apply. You will require to dispose off your HDB within 6 months from TOP date of new EC.

If you are referring to resale EC, you dont have to do so as it will be considered as a private property as well. You will be subject to ABSD as it will be considered as your residential property in Singapore.

I suppose you have gotten the answer, but I am curious why do you have such a plan in selling off HDB and purchasing an EC while staying on in the current condo? Is it a form of investment strategy that you have thought of? Knowing the intentions behind such a proposal could probably allow me to understand better what your needs are and may propose alternative solutions to realise your investment aspiration perhaps.
