I have a 3 room flat at yishun and it's fully furnished. Currently renting to a tenant who stayed there for more than 8 years and she is moving out as she needs a bigger space.understand the market is quite weak now but do you think the chances of renting out is high?

Hi Valerie,

Yes its possible to rent out but the pricing has to be realistic especially with outskirts area like Yishun and older hdb blocks. Otherwise, you might want to consider to sell away to cash out while hdb prices are still not too far away from their 2013 peaks. Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans further.

Hi Valerie,

Despite the weaker market sentiments, it is still definitely possible to rent out your unit. The pricing factor will have to be realistic to rent out quickly.

Alternatively, you may want to consider selling your unit and cashing out to invest in another property to generate higher yields and capital appreciation.

Hi Valerie,

If your location is about 5 mins away to Yishun MRT, I believe your unit should be around Blk 14x, or 73x that area, 5 mins to MRT and 5 mins to Chong Pang Market. Basically I see that you are asking for a very reasonable amount of $1700.
But very importantly is...When is your current tenant moving out? You have to start finding your agent to start market your unit before the tenant move out, so that once your current tenant move away, your new tenant might just in time to fill up the room.
