I am curious on how you have managed to transfer to your daughter who is not at legal age (21 years old) to own property? Do you mean you have transferred to your spouse and your daughter?

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

If you are applying for short lease 2 room BTO, the only restriction I have read on HDB website is:

You or any listed core applicants and core occupiers are not eligible to buy a short lease 2-room Flexi Flat or Community Care Apartment if you had previously enjoyed 2 or more subsidised housing, one of which was a Studio Apartment or a short lease 2-room Flexi flat or Community Care Apartment.

Hi,

There could be a typo error on your daughter's age. This is because the minimum age for a single Singaporean to own a flat is 35 years old under the Singles Scheme.

Assuming there is a typo error and that you have sold your HDB flat to your daughter after living there for a certain period, you might be able to apply for a new BTO flat. This is an option for you as a 62-year-old Singaporean. You can consider two schemes: the Senior Citizen Priority Scheme (SCPS) and the 2-room Flexi Scheme. Let me explain them to you.

For the SCPS, you need to be at least 55 years old and want to apply for a 2-room Flexi flat in an area that is not too crowded. You also need to form a family group with someone who is at least 21 years old, like your spouse or another family member.

As for the 2-room Flexi Scheme, it's also for those who are at least 55 years old. With this scheme, you can apply for a 2-room Flexi flat in either a crowded or less crowded area. The lease, or the amount of time you can stay in the flat, can be chosen between 15 and 45 years. You can pick a lease that covers you and your spouse (if you have one) until you are at least 95 years old.

It's important to remember that if you have already enjoyed two housing subsidies before, you won't be able to apply for a new BTO flat. Also, make sure to check if you meet all the other rules set by HDB before applying for a new flat.
