Asked by
I currently 2 properties under my name for investment, and was thinking of getting a third one for own stay.

However, I am put off by the hefty total BSD of 13% and low LTV limit available to me.

a) What are the legal costs involved if I am to remove my name from the second property which is co-owned with a relative?

b) Assuming I were to successfully remove my name from the co-owned property, and manage to sell my first property owned wholly by myself, will I be considered a first time home owner when I buy a new property for own stay?

Hi Leon,

if you are keen to find out more about the legal fees, I can request a law firm conveyancing manager to advise you on that.

While if you manage to dispose your two properties first, the next property purchase will be considered as your first property.

Hope it helps!

If you need assistance in your property needs, I am just a call away.

Cheers!
