I and my ex fiancee purchased a hbd 5 room from the resale market in 2017. While we did intend to get married/rom, we were unable to married/rom due to financial and parental pressure to hold a large banquet.
Due to differences, we called off our marriage/rom and have since broken up the relationship. However we have continued to pay the monthly installments for the Hdb loan on the flat.
Hdb did Contact us to send our marriage cert in 2018 but we managed to get it waived. As of current 2021, hdb has yet to follow up.
I am asking whether it would be a good idea to surrender the flat back to hdb, or if we would be allowed to resell it on resale market again upon completion of mop in 2022. Would anyone in a similar situation before be able to advise?
