Hi Hock Siong,

For private, it is not necessary to obtain any evaluation before you sell, unlike HDB. You can based on the previous sales transacted price of your apartment to set the selling price you want. When there is an interested buyer willing to pay at your price, however the bank he takes loan from will usually match with the selling price.

Let me know which Apartment you are staying in, so I could give you some past indictative selling price.

In current market, for HDB, the valuation will be done by HDB and can only be requested by the buyers. As for private property, valuation can be requested from the banks first to have a rough idea where to set your selling price at.
