I am supposed to rent a unit. I even signed the Letter of Intent and pay the 1 month deposit as required by the landlord. But I haven’t signed the Tenancy Agreement yet coz needs to have the HDB approval for our tenancy. One week before the agreed move in date, unfortunately we received feedback from our agent that HDB rejected the 2 of my sub tenants. Given that, we opted not to proceed since it was only 4 of us left to shoulder the rental expenses which is not feasible to us. Can we asked for the refund of the deposit? Please help.. thanks!
