I am renting an HDB on a 2 year contract. 11 months in the contract I have to move out of Singapore. I am breaking out of a contract so how much do I have to pay

Hi,

You can do a novation, i.e. find a tenant to replace you for the remaining period of the tenancy. In this way, your deposit may not even be forfeited. But of course your landlord needs to agree.

Try talking to landlord first.
