Hi Jasmine,

If you sell your HDB first and buy the pte condo, the ABSD is 5%.
If you buy the pte condo first, then the ABSD is 10%.

It will be more appropriate to sell first before buy. Not only will you save up on ABSD, but having secured an offer for your HDB will also open up the possibility of bridging loan for your purchase if you require. In addition, a typical HDB resale transaction will take a longer time to complete as compared to a private property. You will require an experience salesperson or team of salesperson to assist you in this transactions, as you will require to know the cashflow timing as well to plan your financing.
