I am looking for to buy a new home and am keeping my options very open. However, I would firstly like to find out exactly what options my income and assets can open up to me:

Single borrower
Income $7,045 a month
Yearly bonus of $13,000
CPF OA: $123,000
Cash assets: $30,000

What is the best property I can buy HDB / condo with my current financial status? Thanks.

Afternoon,

With your current income, you can purchase resale HDB unit under single scheme if you are aged 35 and above. But if you are looking at new built unit, you can look at 1 to 2 bedder at around $650k. However, the actual figures will be depending on your credit standing.

Hi Stan,

When you mentioned "new home", do you mean you're planning to shift from your current house to another place? Or do you mean a "brand new" home, in this case BTO or new launch condo?

Firstly, in order to be eligible for BTO, you have to be above age 35. And your income should not exceed $6000. In this case, you are not eligible for BTO.

As for new launch condo, based on the figures you have given, a comfortable range would be around $600k. That would probably mean a 1-bedroom in the outskirts region.
