Hi,

I guess between the three, for the same price its choosing between age of unit, extent of renovation and unit size. Since its for home stay, there are subjective factors which only you know best.

Hi there, there are differentiating factors when choosing a development which is the best fitted for you. Highline is a different product when compared with Twin Regency and Regency Suits. In terms of lease, it is a 99 leasehold compared to both Twin Regency and Regency Suites which are freehold projects. In terms of a home purchase, what is ideal for home stay may not translate into a good investment asset in terms of rental yield. There should be a strong reason you have chosen these 3 projects in Tiong Bahru over others, perhaps you may wish to elaborate on the reasons?

Which are the more important factors in your decision to purchase, own stay or good rental return? 1 reason why you are unable to decide is likely because you are not comparing between an apple with an apple because these 3 identified projects are not similar in their tenure and age. You may wish to dwell deeper into what you really need in this purchase which will help simplify the decision making process. I was having similar dilemma before this because there were just too many distracting factors and too much opinion seeking from the circle of influence may also make it more difficult to come to a decision.

Speak to someone who have encountered similar situation like yours could be helpful.

The 3 shortlisted projects are within the same location. However, Highline Residences is only 99 years leasehold as compared to the other 2 developments.

For own stay, you will need to take into consideration factors such as which unit layout is more comfortable and the facilities at the project that you may be utilizing.

For rental yield, it will be good to study into the recent rental data before you can come to a decision.

I am in the developer's marketing team for Highline Residences. But my opinion is go for the freehold TR or RS if prices are somewhat the same. Take note of their bay windows though - they take up a lot of space.
