Dear sir/madam,
You have already indicated that YOUR agent is speaking to the landlord on reducing the rental, meaning if extension does materialise, you will be paying your agent. Landlord cannot be paying someone whom he or she did not engage. In addition, there is an uptrend currently in general on rentals across Singapore, therefore it can definitely be quite challenging to have landlord accept a reduction in rental for 6 months period.
