I am considering buying a house that is currently tenanted. The seller is "selling with lease". However I want to stay in it. It is a 2 year lease with 15months to go.

The tenancy agreement does not provide for any ways to terminate the agreement other than the diplomatic clause for the tenant.

Is my only option of getting rid of the tenant to pay them off?

Hi John

You are right. One of the way out is to pay the tenant of the remaining lease he has, or you could negotiate and offer the tenant a better lodging place.

PLs feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Cheers!
