I am a Singapore. My husband is a Malaysian holding epass. We are planning to buy a hdb resale flat in tampines soon. But we have bought a private property a year ago in Malaysia,we are planning to sell away in June. Are we still eligible for hdb loan or grant? If we are not eligible how much cash we have to pay for a 4 room resale flat in tampines?

Good evening,

You will be eligible to purchase a resale HDB with your foreigner spouse as occupier under non citizen spouse scheme.

With him as an occupier to form a family nucleus, you guys have to dispose off the overseas property within 6 months from resale completion date.

Due to you own an overseas property, you are not eligible for HDB loan or CPF housing grant but no issue for proximity housing grant (single).

Do bear in mind loan assessment will be based on your income solely as your hubby is not minimally a SPR.

Hi, you can purchase hdb after dispose of the property in Malaysia. Several grants like first timer, AHG can be applied subject to HDB approval.

Cash required is based on loan eligibility, income, cpf and other factors. For details, WhatsApp me to do a calculation for you do that you will have a rough estimation on cash required
