Hi,

Unfortunately you have to wait out 30 months after selling the private property before you can apply new EC from developer. There is no such wait out period if you purchase private condo.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Firstly congratulations on your wedding soon.
To address your concerns, you will not be able to purchase an EC ( similar to HDB) with a private property in posession, furthermore you will need to observe a 30 months wait period to purchase a HDB unit after disposing your private property. As such, you may consider a private condo. In view of this, perhaps, you could share more on your requirements, long term objectives and finances on hand for financial calculations/ planning with timeline so that I can advise further and propose some residences in line with your goals; with capital gains and future growth in perspective. As this is your first matrimonial home, it is apt to think far and this would be possible if you have on hands the understanding of the property market and transaction caveats to illustrate current and future pricing.
