I am a potential tenant. Recently, I went to view a unit I found in Property Guru. After putting in my initial offer with deposit; the Agent said that I should pay her one month's commission. I did not hire her services and only met her at the unit. What is the code of ethics for Property Agents in Singapore? Does she has the right to demand this commission even when I was the one that found this property? Please advise as I have put in an offer as per the advertised price and looking to finalised the tenancy soon.
