When a divorce is involved, HDB requires both owners to be part of the sale process unless there is a court order stating otherwise. If you do not wish to communicate directly with your ex-spouse, you can appoint an agent to handle all coordination and communication on your behalf. We liaise with both parties separately so you do not need direct contact at all.

Steps normally look like this:
1. Confirm your eligibility to sell with HDB after divorce
2. Provide the divorce documents and any court orders
3. Authorise a salesperson to represent you
4. We handle viewings, buyers, paperwork and keep both sides updated separately

If there is no court direction on who handles what, HDB will simply expect both owners to sign documents, but again, this can all be managed without you needing to communicate with them personally.
