How should I react? We have a TA starting 1st of the month, and the owner agreed weeks ago to a handover date on the 28th - as is common practice in Singapore. I arrive for the handover, do the inventory, but don't get the keys - because the owner's daughter wants to have a party at the place on the 30th. So, come back on the 1st.?

Hi,

You can only be considered taken over the unit upon getting the keys and signing a takeover form.

I suggest you do another handover again on the 1st. We never know what "damages" will be done to the property after the party. I believe you do not want to takeover a unit that is damaged or dirty?

Perhaps you should ask your agent for his advice too.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
