Hi,

Typicaly 10k per household is a good guideline, but there are other factors at play also such as the cash & cpf on hand you have at the moment. You may also want to consider ECs if you can qualify for it since it appears you are 1st timers. Its "subsidized condo" with a relatively lower entry price and grants available for first timers. How much loan the bank can disperse to you for the purchase will depends on your age, income status, credit standing l, how much CPF OA you have and the age of the unit that you are buying. Therefore, it's hard to say that by having combined income of $9k will be sufficient.

Good afternoon buyers,

Do let my bankers advise you on your IPA (bank loan) so you can gauge how much can both of you loan based on your income, age, debt etc.

Essentially do take note that if you are able to loan up to 80%, you will need to have an initial outlay of at least 23% if you are a Singaporean.

1) 5% cash downpayment
2) 15% cash or CPF downpayment
3) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty
4) valuation fee, legal fees etc
