Hi, what shall I do if I had already received the letter of administrator am trying to sell my late father HDB flat.

Had went down to HDB to inform but I am unable to find the title deed which HDB informed had been released to him almost 20 years ago.

How and what I shall do next to settle the title deed issues?

Sorry to hear about your loss. You can actually check with HDB on how to manage in such event where you are unable to find the title deed. They will be able to assist in getting the subsidiary title up for your sale. And during this period, you can actually submit your intent to sell online to kickstart the process of sale.

If the title deed was released to your late father years ago, don’t worry — this situation is quite common, especially for older flats.

Here’s what you can do next:
1. Head to the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) – You can request a replacement title deed since the original is lost. SLA handles all land title matters now, not HDB. You’ll need to submit a Statutory Declaration (that the deed was lost) and pay a small administrative fee.
2. Engage a conveyancing lawyer – They can help you prepare the documents properly, including the statutory declaration, indemnity bond, and liaising with SLA.
3. Keep HDB updated – Once the replacement process is in motion, HDB will proceed with the resale as long as the estate administration documents (your Letter of Administration) are in order.

If you’re planning to sell soon, I’d suggest engaging a lawyer early so the replacement process runs in parallel with your resale prep — this can save you a few weeks. Read More

usually the first thing you can do is to call up your hdb branch office to see if that's any way to get the title deed. if can't, you can call in to hdb resale hotline to see if they can provide any information on that

But it shouldn't deter you from selling the house
