Hi what is the process for a home inspection to ensure there are no hidden surprises before a purchase is made? This is for condo. How does a prospective buyer request for a certified home inspection? Does this have to be done before the price is agreed? If the price has been agreed (before OTP signed) and a home inspection reveals problems and issues that need fixing, what options does the buyer have to seek recourse?

Dear prospective buyer,

You are encouraged to consider brand new projects where developers will provide defects rectification instead of resale projects where it is usually on caveat emptor basis.

Tenants can visit http://bit.ly/SGExpatRental (Official Rental Requirements - Singapore Expatriates) to indicate your rental requirements.
