Hi Adi, EC is definitely cheaper compared to a private condo of a similar size, level etc in the same area. But you have to understand as your wife still is a foreigner so both of you are not eligible for new EC (needs at least a SC). But you will be eligible to purchase resale EC and if you decide to purchase under both names, you will be subject to 15% ABSD (higher of 5% as a SPR and 15%). Hope it helps!
