Hi, we are two girls exchanging from Norway to study at NTU in Singapore from August to December 2012. We are looking for an apartment for either two people or more if anyone wants to share. We would like to live near public transportation and nearby NTU. I've heard that Woodlands, Lake Shore, Bukit Batok and Bedok are good places to live. Some of you have experience with these places? Our budget is about. $ 1 000 per. person / month. Appreciate all the help we can get :)

Hi Caroline,

When will it be convenient to show you potential units? I am actually afraid that your choice would be pretty limited due to the tenure of rental you are looking for as most owners are looking at long term rental of a year at least. I do have a property in mind which is a compact studio of only a bedroom size, but is fully furnished with a queen sized bed, TV, attached bathroom and a mini kitchen for light cooking. Travelling time from the place to NTU is approximate 1hr using 2 public bus services and the MRT in between.
