Hi to all the Guru here, My Wife and I are both Singaporean and am thinking of doing a Decoupling on our Resale HDB that we bought more than 5 years ago, with CPF Housing Grant. We are still serving a HDB Loan. From what I read, the remaining Owner need to apply for HLE from HDB to see what is the maximum loan allowed. There are a few options available under the “Purpose of Your Application for the HLE” on the first question so which one do we choose? Is it the “Transfer of Ownership (Change of Ownership in an existing flat” or “Purchase of a Share of a Flat (Resale of Part Share)”?

Hi Sir,

Based on what you shared, you should be able to decouple your existing HDB. However, decoupling is still subjected to HDB approval. You will need to write in to HDB to seek the permission before proceeding further.
