Hi,

This is regarding private condo and 99-years leasehold.

1. Can we use our CPF amount to pay monthly EMI for private condo home loan?

2. What will happend after 99yrs? Do i get any money or i dont get anything..


Kindly advice.

Hi Navin,

Yes, you may use your CPF to pay for the monthly installment of your condo, if it is not enough, then you will need to top-up with cash.

So far, I have not seen any condo that lasted till 99 yrs or more. By the time it reaches 30 yrs or so, it might already en-bloc. Or, you might also sold it even it reaches 99 yrs. Whether it is en-bloc or you sold it, whatever you took it from your CPF will goes back to your CPF and any positive sale proceed will be in the form of cheque to you.
