Hi there. My father and mother went through a messy divorce and are joint owners of the flat. However my father is now imposing rent on me stating that I'm an adult. My mom was not notified of this and she does not approve this as well. Can he 'rent out' the flat to me without her approval?

Hi, if your dad is one of the co owner, then he has the right to either rent out room or the whole unit.

If your name is listed as an occupier of the flat, he won't be able to rent it to you.
