Hi there, Im a Singapore PR and I'm looking to sell my Hdb 5 room unit. The lift upgrading programme had completed as of August 2014 but we haven't received the invoice yet. How much valuation difference we can get if we are paying for the lift upgrading programme? Thanks, Karun

Afternoon,

The payment of lift upgrading does not impact the valuation figures. Unit on lift level will attract more buyers. However, with lift upgrading billing out by around 1 year from completion date, your unit will not likely attract SPR buyers.

Hi,

As discussed, there isn't likely to be any significant difference in terms of valuation. But may I understand your housing plans further after selling? Will be glad to assist in marketing your unit. Thanks.

Hi Ivan, Thanks for your reply. I'm intending to sell my current HDB flat and upgrade to a private condominium. However I'm thinking if this is the right time given the market conditions. Looks like selling before the LUP invoice is the best choice and SPRs wont be interested in buying. Plus I need some time to buy another pvt unit once this sale is confirmed. So I'm still considering the pros and cons. Will give a call once I make up my mind. Thanks for your reply.
