Hi Finn,

There is no minimum occupation period for private condos. However, there is Seller Stamp Duty (SSD), which is additional tax, if you sell your condo within 4 years of purchase.

If you buy a resale HDB flat, you have to sell your condo before buying, or sell the condo within 6 months after buying the HDB flat. In this case, you cannot get the CPF grant.

In order to get the CPF grant for the resale HDB, you must sell your condo, wait for 30 months, before buying the HDB flat.

Thanks!

Hi Ms Finn

There is no minimum occupation period for private property but there is Seller Stamp Duty payable. And yes, you are eligible to buy a resale HDB once you sold off the condo. Cheers!
