Hi Daniel,

Normally I will request for my tenants to pay my own commission rather than I share the landlord's agent's commission.

Why will I request?

As a tenant's agent, I will go around with the tenants to find a suitable property for them to stay. If I can provide great services that my tenant is happy with, why wont my tenant pays me? And you should take note that agent that represents you will also provide after services as well. If you dont pay commission, will you wonder that will he fight for your interests when something goes wrong during the tenancy?

For the charges, it also largely depends on the rental amount that you are looking at. If the rental is up to a certain amount, your serving agent does not need to collect service fee from you. The landlord's agent will pay the tenant's agent. This is kind of the guideline for cobroking in Singapore.

My partner and myself have served many expats who have relocated to Singapore. Whether we are serving tenants or landlords, we will provide the same level of service. Just to let you know, our service to ou does not end he moment the tenancy agreement is signed but our service will stay with you throughout your lease. Hence a lot of our clients eventually become our friends.
