Hi,

My BTO flat is ready for keys collection in mid 2014.

I am thinking of listing only myself as the Owner/applicant and my husband as the Essential Occupier.
This is because my income and CPF is sufficent for the monthtly instalments.

My question is :

If I am able to list my husband as the Essential Occupier under the BTO HDB, does it mean that he can also buy a private property without being subject to ABSD ?

Would he be able to get full 80% loan if his income permits?

Please advise. Thank You.

Morning Ms. Yan,

You have purchase BTO because you have formed a family union with your spouse therefore both names have to be listed as owners, unless you have purchased the unit under non citizen spouse scheme.
