Hi Ms,

As a foreigner, the only residential property you can purchase under your sole name is a private strata-titled (e.g condo). Take note that ABSD is 15%.

To be eligible for new EC, you will at least have to be a PR first, and you can purchase it with your boyfriend (under Fiance/Fiancee Scheme).

If not, you can go for a HDB resale flat under the "Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme". It will require both of you to get married too.

Price of property is dependent on various factors, such as location, tenure, size, floor etc. And downpayment for first property will be at least 20%, with a maximum loan of 80%.

The initial cash outlay :
