Depending on your financial standing, you might be able to start the hunt around 1 month before hunting for the upcoming unit. But if you require the fundings from the current unit, it would be advisable to sell your unit first before hunting for one.

Hi Judy, if you need to sell your current HDB to fund the purchase of the new condo unit, you may start to market it a few weeks before the hdb unit hits MOP. As the market sentiment has been weak, it may take a longer time than usual to get it sold. And concurrently, you could start viewing for the next condo unit. Current resale HDB market is not doing well thus I will advise you to assess your financial plan first to see whether your upgrade is feasible. And it will be better to market your unit for sale first before purchase because it will take a longer time to sell off a HDB nowadays.
