Hi, my 2-year lease contract is expiring soon and I want to renew another year contract. But the agent informed me that the owner wants to increase the rental fee... which is more than 10% and that's not adhering to the clause stated in the contract. The same size units advertise by other agents are either the same rental fee or even much lower. I do not pay commission to the agent and I know that I'm on the disadvantage . Please advise and may I know which authority I should file a complaint about the agent.

Dear sir/madam, I do not quite understand why do you intend to file a complain against the salesperson here when the salesperson has no control over what rental the landlord is asking for. If other units similar to the current ones are asking for lower rental, would it be more logical to rent these cheaper units instead of being subjected to rent increment?
