Hi, Me & my wife are PR and own a 5 room HDB at Jurong West. We plan to sell the HDB and will not longer stay in Singapore for at least another 5 years. After the HDB sold, we plan to buy a Private property in Singapore mainly for rental/investment purpose (budget 1mil). so my questions are 1) any restriction for PR to sell the HDB & to buy a pvt, 2) the profit i gain from selling the HDB (minus CPF), can this be cash out? 3) If i am not selling the HDB, can i rent out only the rooms but i am not staying in the flat? any other suggestion for my case? as PR cannot rent out the whole HDB Flat 4), if i am going to buy a PVT for rental/investment purpose, new launch condo/APRT, or second hand EC, or second hand condo/aprt, which is more cost effective .
